When you decide that your bedroom feels like it needs some livening up one of the cheapest and easiest ways to do it is to change your bedding.
Yellow bedding is a great choice for rooms that need brightening up. Yellow is a very cheerful color, it reminds us of the summer sun and that memory alone can be enough to make us cheer up.

Shopping for bedding is not the same as shopping for baby proofing items, you need to think about color and style rather than functionality. People won't ever critique your choice of baby gate but they will look at the baby bedding and make a comment.
Most of us spend at least 8 hours a day in bed so having bedding that is comfortable and looks good is important. If your bedding is old and the wrong color it will just upset you every time you get into bed and that does not make for a good nights sleep.
Don't pressure yourself, or allow your spouse to pressure you, into buying bedding that you don't love. There are plenty of stores out there and the bedding you have will last a little bit longer until you find the right one.
One mistake that people make is to not buy enough bedding when they find something they like. Buy spare pillowcases and sheets if you can afford to, they are the items that get the most use so having a spare for when they get to worn to use is important.
Having some spare bedding will make sure you don't have to go and hunt down new items to often.
