Wedding Entertainment Ideas

When getting married you need to look at some entertainment either for the daytime or in the evening. Many people just go for the bog standard wedding entertainment which is of course a DJ for the evening, playing music and getting everyone to dance and have fun. But, have you every thought about others forms of entertainment like a live band, a wedding singer, a close up magicians, string quartet or caricature artist?

Wedding days are really long days and you need to fill them with different forms of entertainment throughout the day. Guests can get bored especially the ones that have been to the church ceremony, the wedding breakfast meal and then will attend the night entertainment with the evening guests. Live entertainment can be used to help fill gaps. When the photographs are been taken all the guests are just stud around drinking champagne for at least on hour or so. This is were a magician and caricature artist would be nice, the magician would mix and mingle amongst the guests showing close up magic tricks and the caricature artist would draw the guests. These things are unique and the guests have probably never experience entertainment like this before.

During the meal and in between course a magician could be used again showing table magic to the guests as they wait for their food. Soft live music from a jazz band could also be used while they eat their food.

The hour after the meal when the night guests are arriving and before the first dance starts, you could have the wedding magician walking around showing close up magic and entertaining the guests. It’s a great ice breaker for guests, and gets them talking about something.

In the evening as well as having a DJ with music, you could also have a live band playing rock music, pop music with a wedding singer. Live music form a band will liven up the guests and make sure they are having fun. They can dance and sing along if they wish to some popular songs.
